I Declare Harrell Number One

If there’s a year to take Graham Harrell first overall, this is it. Take a look at the highlights of their schedule:

  1. Eastern Washington - Next to last in FBS total passing yards given up last season with 3206.
  2. SMU - Third from last in FBS last season allowing an astonishing 301.4 yards per game. Harrell threw for 414 and 4 tds in this game last year and running for another score.
  3. Massachusetts - Respectable FBS passing defense, but that doesn’t usually matter against Tech. They’ve outscored their last 4 FBS schools by an average of 61 ppg.
  4. Oklahoma St - Porous pass defense last season gave up 292.8 ypg. Tech hanging 646 yds on them didn’t help.

Take that info and combine it with being Harrell’s 3rd year as a starter, Florida’s commitment to finding a running game aside from Tebow, and Crabtree’s 2nd half dip in numbers without much change in Texas Tech’s passing production. Draft and enjoy.
